Modular Single-Temperature Oil/Gas-Fired Thermal Oil System

The system provides operating temperatures of 100–350°C at low pressure. Closed-loop circulation avoids heat loss from blowdown. Larger heaters are arranged in separate skids to simplify installation and improve installation quality.

Design and features

High-temperature circulation skid

A high-temperature circulation pump, filter, piping, valves, gaskets and fasteners form one skid.

Supports and heat recovery

Expansion-tank channel-steel supports are assembled to transportable dimensions and reassembled on site. A heat-pipe air preheater warms combustion air.

Circulation and oil-filling systems

Circulation comprises a thermal oil pump, filter, piping, valves, gaskets and fasteners; oil filling uses a filling pump and associated pipework. Pipes are grade 20 seamless steel to GB3087, with full-penetration argon-arc butt welds and 100% radiographic testing.

Oil/gas separation and storage

An oil/gas separator cleans the return oil. A storage tank at the system's lowest point holds oil during inspection or maintenance. Separator and tank plate materials are Q235-B or Q245R, with full-penetration butt welds and 10% radiographic testing.

Expansion tank and lighting

The expansion tank at the highest point stabilizes system pressure. It uses Q235-B or Q245R plate, full-penetration butt welds and 10% radiographic testing. Supports and ladders use welded Q235 tube, angle, channel or square sections. Explosion-proof lighting is provided at visual inspection points.
