Modular Dual-Temperature Oil/Gas-Fired Thermal Oil System

Special control technology and system configuration allow one boiler to provide two process-medium temperatures for different heat users. Larger units are divided into skids to reduce site assembly and improve installation quality.

Design and features

Two circulation systems

The diagram shows one circuit with a low-temperature pump, electric or pneumatic control valve and pipework, and another with a high-temperature pump, filter and pipework.

Air preheating and heat recovery

A heat-pipe air preheater raises combustion-air temperature.

Circulation and oil-filling systems

Circulation comprises a thermal oil pump, filter, piping, valves, gaskets and fasteners; oil filling uses a filling pump and associated pipework. Pipes are grade 20 seamless steel to GB3087, with full-penetration argon-arc butt welds and 100% radiographic testing.

Oil/gas separation and storage

An oil/gas separator cleans the return oil. A storage tank at the system's lowest point holds oil during inspection or maintenance. Separator and tank plate materials are Q235-B or Q245R, with full-penetration butt welds and 10% radiographic testing.

Expansion tank and lighting

The expansion tank at the highest point stabilizes system pressure. It uses Q235-B or Q245R plate, full-penetration butt welds and 10% radiographic testing. Supports and ladders use welded Q235 tube, angle, channel or square sections. Explosion-proof lighting is provided at visual inspection points.
